A Taste of Paris in Cebu City

La Maison Rose - The Pinkhouse restaurant was the first of it’s kind in Cebu City. Sure there may be some french bistros within the metro, yet this particular restaurant stood out, not only because of the food, but also the aesthetic that has been placed within the particular design. An old house was tranformed into an

Indochine inspired motif by none other than the award winning visual artist, Delphine Delorme. Within this abode also housed Mark’s work office and he was tasked to create the branding and identity of this restaurant.

The client wanted a logo inspired by a truly famous brand “Hermes”. He wants the circular crest to give rise to a particular classy feel. Mark was then introduced to the Typeface “Bocklin” by the famous Art Nouveau Type designer Otto Weisert.

A literal symbol of a waitress was created along with a literal profile of the house itself. In the end, the realistic treatment gave the logo the classy look it was expected to have, therefore fulfilling one of many branding problems in the client's mind.

Being the go-to designer for this company keeps Mark busy whenever graphic requirements are needed. Deals are made for every occasion and is quickly backed up by his posters. It was here that Mark has practiced his authenticity as a replicator of vintage work. Revolving around Art Nouveau and Art Deco, he has based his techniques on working digitally through this habitual exercise.
